MY JOURNEY & MISSION
Joan Tan graduated Bachelor of Economics & Finance (With Distinction) from RMIT University, Melbourne in year 2000. With over 10 years of experience in the financial industry, including working with some of the biggest banks like Hong Leong Bank, ABN AMRO Bank and Al-Rajhi Bank, Joan Tan has a deep understanding of the financial landscape and the importance of protection.
Unfortunately, I was diagnosed with LUPUS (SLE) in Dec 2006 and spending many months in and out of hospitals got me started to discover the critical importance of medical protection and made it my mission to help others understand the value of protecting themselves and their loved ones.
I have decided to leave the banking industry and joined insurance full time in year 2012 and focuses most of my time actively doing financial education workshop for the public to reach out people out there on the importance of financial protection via the Insurance.
My passion in continuous learning has motivated me to complete Gold Level Certified Graduate of Blair Singer Training Academy in May 2023. Further to that I was honoured to be invited BY MIWEPS NGO as Inspiring Mentorship for Women in Oct 2023. My mission is to be a inspiring role model as SLE survivor, financial educator & to help thousands of lives get complete protections.
